Abstract
On May 28, 2023 the faculty of Sultan Qaboos University gathered in the
Special Needs Laboratory at the College of Arts and Social Sciences for
one of face-to-face sessions of “Assistive technologies for inclusive
classrooms” hyflex course with a shared purpose and a commitment to
making a difference in the lives of visually impaired students. It was evident
to all the course participants that in the realm of teaching, educators hold a
great responsibility - to empower, inspire, and create an inclusive learning
environment for all students.
