Description

This study is aimed at examining the effectiveness of the induction and orientation programs for new language teaching faculty at the higher education institutions in Oman in order to better understand the nature of these programs and their consequences for language education and language teacher professional development. This will be followed by identification of similarities and differences of these programs in order to design a model programming that conforms to best practices in Oman, contributes to smooth adjustment of new faculty to academic life, and provides quality teaching and learning.
