Abstract

Based on the web engineering framework, we have identified a number of limitations of existing modelling approaches. In response to some of these limitations, we propose the WApDM (Web Applications Design Method) approach. It is a multi-process approach for the design of web applications. It guides designer during all basic phases of web design through different kinds of guidelines at different levels of abstraction. This paper presents the proposed WApDM approach specified with the MAP. We have opted for the use of the MAP process meta-model in order to provide designer ability to personalize design process and thus offer more flexibility during design.
