Abstract
The present paper aims to approximate functions belonging to the class L2(R), using Boas transform of wavelets. We exhibit that Hölder continuity of a function plays a crucial role in the decay of wavelet coefficients and thus assists in approximating it. Further, we give sufficient conditions for uniform approximation of wavelet coefficients of square integrable function.
