Abstract
Social entrepreneurship has become a global movement - a movement with a goal to effect positive social change. While the term may seem new; ground-breaking the concept is not. Ground-breaking individuals and revolutionary groups have been addressing social issues for centuries. The title 'social entrepreneurship' has been applied to a startling range of organisations and activities from grass-roots campaigns to the 'social' actions of multi-national corporations. This paper seeks to present efforts and initiative by a young Omani entrepreneur who is striving to help alleviate poverty of women from her village. It illustrates her background, motives and motivation, as well as her leadership and organisational attributes.
