SECURITY: AN INVESTIGATION OF SCULPTURAL CERAMICS, EXPLORING CONCEPTS OF SECURITY AND SURVIVAL

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Since the last decade of the twentieth century the concept of security has diverged from its ordinary meaning to present another contemporary sense which is more appropriate to human societies. Although there are many differences in human conditions, developments in the concept of security have carried on its transference to several fields such as political science, social research, economics and religion. These developments have occurred as a result of contemporary life events which have narrowed human concerns to be focused on "survival".
