Abstract

Food is any nutritious substance that people eat or drink
in order to maintain growth and life. Mood is a temporary
state of mind or feeling. The scientific evidence around
the world have consistently shown that diet is important
to mental health. There is a strong relationship between
the food that we eat and the mood. The gut microbiome,
a bacterium in the gut heavily contribute to how a
person fights the disease, digests the food and changes
their mood and psychological processes. Diet has an
important impact on the health and function on gut. For
instance, fiber rich foods can promote the functioning of
microbiome whereas highly processed foods may disrupt
the balance of bacteria and promote a leaky gut.
