Abstract
This article presents a prototype of a collaborative information search system created as part of the work of the Paragraph laboratory. This prototype provides some elements of response to problems linked to the search for information in the era of digital libraries where on the one hand, the corpus of documents have become too large and often unstructured and on the other hand, the user, in his search, finds himself alone in front of a screen. To the first problem, we propose the exploitation of the contributions of XML technology at the level of structuring and information retrieval and to the second, we propose a collaborative work space which allows users to dialogue and help each other at the level of their research. At the end, we present the conclusions and perspectives of this work.
