Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the use of space in managing and detecting natural disasters and sheds light on the important role such technologies as natural disasters' influence on the worldwide ecosystem has grown increasingly severe in recent decades. Space monitoring using satellites imagery has been used operationally for cyclone warning and monitoring, as well as drought and, to a lesser extent, flood monitoring. By including worldwide studies in its purview and offering examples of recent studies conducted, this study will pave the way for future research to use space monitoring for disaster management and reducing their severity
