Abstract

Performance curricula in music colleges depends on technical and skill foundations to build technical and expressive aspects at the Under-graduate Level through the specialized instrument (Orchestral Instruments - Arabic Takht Instruments). Due to the importance of development in the musical field as an important element for permanence, innovation and generation of new ideas, especially in the twenty-first century to keep pace with the explosion knowledge and scientific. In line with the requirements of quality, which has become the main pillar in the educational process, which is the uprising that educational institutions must pay attention to, as it seeks through it to broaden students' perceptions and motivate them to creativity and self-expression through the development of educational curricula in a manner that suits the times and satisfies the needs of the student to develop of his personality to suit the needs of society. Music ensemble course is one of the important practical courses included in the study plan of music and musicology department at Sultan Qaboos University. This course prepares the student to learn how to play collectively between different eastern and western instruments, and perform different musical forms and the role of each musical instrument according to the type of music that is being played. The student learns, which works to achieve the maximum benefit for students after their graduation and to face practical life to meet the different requirements and needs in the Labor Market. Ex: - Sama'ie Kurd for Violin with Orchestra by Kamal Skaiker - Sama;ei Nehawand by Rouhy AlKhammash.
