Abstract
Heat transfer in generalized Couette flow of two viscous, incompressible, immiscible fluids in a channel bounded below by a naturally permeable material is discussed. The flow inside the porous medium, assumed to be of moderate permeability, is modelled by Brinkman equation. Analytical solutions of governing equations have been obtained by dividing the flow domain into three zones and using appropriate matching conditons that link various flow regimes. The effect of Reynolds number and porosity parameter on temperature profiles has been shown for a set of various combinations of the above parameters.
