N2 - In recent years, palliative care practice has shifted toward community-based palliative care. The complex care needs of older adults and people requiring palliative care are increasing due to the increase in life expectancy. However, it remains limited in the Middle East, which has Muslim-majority populations. Various barriers to successful establishment of palliative care services in community settings were identified.
