N2 - Background: Dental anterior open bites are primarily due to decreased both upper and lower anterior dentoalveolar height. The occlusal planes in the dental anterior open bite usually diverge from the mesial to the first premolar forward. Open bite patients commonly have mandibles that are rotated downward and backward or by excessive eruption of the posterior teeth. Case report: This article reports the successful treatment of dental anterior open bite case of 22 year old female patient by extrusion of both upper and lower incisors with camouflage non-extraction therapy. This patient has normal skeletal pattern, deficient incisor display at rest and smile, and competent lip. Treatment plan: Decision was taken for extrusion of the upper and lower incisors which is a common fixed orthodontic treatment for anterior dental open bite. Conclusion: The patient was very satisfied with the outcome of the orthodontic treatment.
