Abstract
A simple and systematic synthesis procedure, based on a state-variable approach and the reactance extraction principle is presented. Any g multiplied by p matrix T(s) of real rational function of the complex frequency variable s can be realized as the short-circuit transfer admittance matrix of a multiport active RC network. The realization requires a minimum number of n-capacitors with unity capacitance spread, n, equal to the degree of T(s) and at the most (p plus 2n) inverting grounded voltage amplifiers. All the capacitors and ports will share a common ground.
