Abstract
With the spectacular development of web-based information and communication technologies, Human and Social Sciences (SHS) have experienced a profound upheaval in their methods and paradigms. We are talking about a new concept, which is "the digital humanities" that has introduced major changes in all areas and especially in the area of libraries, documentation and archival science.
It is in this sense that our article deals with the issue of digital humanities and its impact on archives and archivists with an emphasis on the study of digital humanities products, namely the corpuses of digital archives, their archival tools and features and their long-term preservation methods. We present the methodology of our study and the main results related in particular to the evolution of the notion of archives, the practices of their treatment and their long-term conservation.
