The Shell Chair in Carbonate Geosciences

The Shell Chair at the Oil and Gas Research Centre was initially for Carbonate Geoscience; however, from the year 2014, the chair was renamed as Shell Chair in Petroleum Geoscience . Shell chair was introduced by Shell Development Oman in 2006 as part of a joint endeavor to develop research capabilities in the field of petroleum geosciences in the Sultanate and to prepare Omani youth to contribute to the future of energy in Oman. Below is a summary of the achievements of the Chair.
