The current research project aims to test the model of the mediating effects of sustainable leadership in higher education institutions on faculty engagement, organizational citizenship, and intention to leave work in higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. The research project employs structural equation modeling as an appropriate research methodology to achieve the project?s goals. The project is expected to produce results that have significant practical implications for improving institutional capacity and educational effectiveness in higher education. In detail, the research project seeks to achieve the following objectives: 2- Determining sustainable leadership practices in higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. 3- Analyzing the status quo of faculty engagement, organizational citizenship, and intention to leave work for faculty members in higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. 4- Determining the extent to which field data fit the assumed theoretical model of the research. 5- Reaching recommendations that match the status quo of work in the higher education environment in the Sultanate of Oman. The current research relies on the quantitative approach by applying a set of standardized measures to a sample of faculty members at Sultan Qaboos University and using a set of advanced statistical techniques in building and testing models to achieve the proposed model for improvement.
