Project Details

Description

Surface water quality in urban developing areas during and after the storm events can be quite variable. Diffuse sources of contamination are dominant in urban developing environment and monitoring on those requires manpower and funding sources. Especially in arid climates such as in Sultanate of Oman where rains are intense and at limited temporal spread, data collection is revealed more entanglement. We propose a kind of andldquo;scanningandrdquo; of surface water quality during and after storm events in andldquo;hot spotsandrdquo; like roadsides, roundabouts and waste collection bins localities with portable water heavy metal analyzer based on anodic stripping voltammetry. The sampling data (coordinates, pictures) will be stored spontaneously at mobile web browser.
