Project Details

Description

Cooperation between predators for hunting and prey cooperation against the predation have been found to play an important role in the prey-predator dynamics. However, there are very few prey-predator models which are dedicated to study this important factor. In this project, we aim to develop mathematical models to examine the role of different types of cooperation in the prey-predator dynamics. The mathematical models to be first studied qualitatively using stability analysis. Solutions will then be obtained numerically. Effects of model parameters on the solution will also be studied. Finally, the obtained results will be compared with previous results of the corresponding prey-predator models without cooperation. This would help to identify the role of cooperation in the prey-predator dynamics.
