Project Details

Description

Very limited studies have examined the prevalence, clinical characteristics, treatment approaches, patterns of care utilization, and age specific clinical outcomes in children with metabolic disorders. Moreover, no studies analyzed these variables in Gulf region and in Oman. Information about clinical characteristics, treatment approaches, patterns of care utilization, and age specific health and developmental outcomes are valuable and critical in evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare services, and utilization of healthcare services by the children affected with IMD?s. This data will assist the healthcare organizations to focus on the areas that needs improvement in designing strategies for quality improvement.
