Project Details

Description

COVID- 19 pandemic triggered a spectrum of social, economic, and psychological fallout among the general public and health care workers (HCWs) alike. There is strong evidence that HCWs are bearing the brunt of the pandemic. Psychosocial interventions are therefore one of the mechanisms to reduce the adverse effect of the pandemic among HCWs via the existing wellness initiation in the healthcare settings. Employee wellness programs aspire to reduce factors that will render HCWs incapable to dispense much-needed services triggered by the dire situation of the pandemic. Hence, to fill the gap in the literature, this study has embarked on exploring the perceptions of health care workers regarding wellness and the need for a wellness program in the workplace.
