Project Details
Description
DNA denaturation is studied via molecular dynamics simulations of long coarse-grained polymers. We will study effects of base-pairing, DNA length, tension and confinement on DNA melting. The possibility of 3-stranded DNA allows for strand exchange. We will also look for this at temperatures where DNA bubble fluctuations are large enough to permit this.
