This research project tackles the characteristics of the integrative and its importance in teaching methodologies and scientific research in Islamic sciences. It explores the importance of the integrative approach as a major methodology in Islamic sciences through centuries. Then, the project will practically focus on four basic Islamic sciences namely the Qur'an, the Hadith, Theology, and Fiqh and Islamic economics. The study will seek through the extrapolation of the reality of the teaching these subjects at the Department of Islamic Sciences to discuss the needed development for teaching, research and degree plans. At the end the project will reconsider the capabilities of the department graduates and their compatibility with the needs of the current and prospective labor market in the Sultanate.
