Description

Medical tourism is an important component of the growing trade in medical field. There are few studies and scientific research exploring the risks of medical tourism. As with all medical treatments, treatment abroad may cause some risks to the patient's health. These include but are not limited to the quality and effectiveness of the treatment, ethical and moral issues, patient safety, lack of continuity of care, and building false hopes and unrealistic expectations in patients for financial benefits of the host healthcare facility. There is a lack of research evidence on the role and impact of medical tourism on the healthcare system in Oman. Therefore, this study aims to study the factors and outcomes of Medical Tourism among Omanis
