Evaluation of the Tourism-based Sustainable Development Goal Targets and Indicators: Understanding Stakeholder Group Experiences and Perceptions in Nizwa

The Sustainable Development Agendas (SDGs) have being playing focal role in promoting and guiding sustainable development in various part of the globe. The purpose of this research is to better understand the perspectives of local Nizwa residents in relation to sustainable tourism, in order to better achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. This research will also demonstrate how decision-making processes can be improved by gathering stakeholder group input and monitoring the impact of sustainable principles. This will be achieved by providing the identified stakeholder groups with tools necessary to improve communication and collaboration amongst themselves. In addition, it will provide insights on whether Omani tourism industry meeting SDGs requirements; or, more attention is needed by different stakeholders to meet SDGs requirements.
