Development of a marine habitat enhancement strategy for Musandam Gaz Processing Plant

A marine environmental enhancement strategy will be developed during the detailed design stage of the project, to be implemented during the construction stage and monitored during and after construction. The strategy aims to identify the various opportunities where the project?s marine construction works can be undertaken in such a way so as to limit further degradation of coral communities in the direct vicinity of the plant and create some new habitats favourable to coral colonisation and growth. The development of the strategy will involve the specialist expertise of SQU staff to advise on design opportunities and on the practical issues associated with its implementation.
