Challenges Facing Postgraduate Students in Higher Education Institutions in the Sultanate of Oman in light of some variables

This research aims to identify the reality of postgraduate studies in institutions of higher education in the Sultanate of Oman, and find out the challenges and constraints faced by postgraduate students in these institutions. In addition, it will investigate the impact of a number of variables, namely (gender, educational institution, income, specialization, grade and social status) on the students view point influence of these challenges. A number of recommendations and suggestions will be provided to overcome these obstacles. A descriptive research methodology will be utilized in this research. The research group will develop and administer a questionnaire in order to collect needed data. In addition, interviews with officials responsible for postgraduate programs will be conducted as well. A representative sample of the research population will be selected and appropriate method and techniques will be used to analyze collected data.
