Challenges, coping strategies of care givers and health related quality of life of children with Sickle Cell Disease in Oman?.

The overall goal of the proposed research is to identify the challenges experienced by care givers of children with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and the coping strategies adopted by them. The study will also assess the health related quality of life of children with sickle cell disease in Oman. The life skill management program taught by the researchers and issue of informational booklet on management of sickle cell disease would help the children with sickle cell disease to have healthy transition from childhood to adulthood with improved quality of life.
