Bubble nucleation in the early universe

Project: Internal Grants (IG)

Project Details

Description

In this project we try to calculate the rate of bubble nucleation rate under the higgs mechanism between bubbles. In the case of deflagration bubble expansion, the shock wave in the plasma can increase the temperature of the plasma which might suppress further bubble nucleation and, hence, the formation of matter. The case of detonation and hybrid, which do not produce shock waves but rather cause rarefaction waves, will be discussed also.
