Assembling/simulation a muons detector experiment.

Project: Internal Grants (IG)

Project Details

Description

In this project, we will be assembling/simulation a muon detector experiment useful for physics demonstrations and experiments. The muons have high speed that causes them to live longer as well as enables them to travel a longer distance to reach the surface of the earth. Muon detector experiment will be directly measuring the average muon density or flux on the earth's surface. Both approaches (experimental and simulation) will be used that are quite important for developing high-energy physics models.
