This research aims to build an educational guide inspired by the Omani folk legends associated with the heritage and tourist places in the Sultanate to develop the plastic arts methodology of social studies and achieve the priority requirements of citizenship, identity, heritage and national culture in Oman Vision 2040 and identify its role in promoting the preservation of heritage and folkloric painting from the point of view of educational experts in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers will follow the qualitative ethnographic approach. As the appropriate curriculum to achieve the objectives of the current study, and after building the educational guide, it will be presented to a group of educational experts specializing in plastic arts, social studies curricula, to reveal the most important folk tales suitable for inclusion in the curricula, as well as its role in achieving the future dimensions related to Oman Vision 2040 and promoting the preservation of heritage and folklore.
