Description

The course is designed to enable students to develop essential competencies in organizations and systems leadership and management with emphasis on planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling for safe patient care and quality outcomes. This course will enable students to appreciate core leadership principles as well as strategic and operational management concepts. The student will also address health care financing, governance, change management as well as role transition, mentorship, professional development and human resource management. Furthermore, the students will be exposed to inter-professional collaboration, delegation, power dynamics, conflict management, ethical-legal, quality and safety related issues in healthcare.
