This segment acquaints the students with the classes of secondary metabolites, their biosynthetic pathways, roles of gene enzymes in biosynthesis, bioassay, and biosynthetic methods. Further, students will be introduced to the 2D NMR techniques such as HSQC (HMQC), HMBC, 1H-1H COSY, and NOESY for structural determination of organic molecules.
