L’institut supérieur de Documentation de Tunis entre les défis des TICs et les besoins de la formation à l’ère du numérique

ملخص

Two important events in Tunisia lately introduced major changes in the
field of teaching. The first one is related to the efforts which the developing
countries must provide in the field of ICT in order to reduce the digital
divide following the directives of the world summit of the information
society (WSIS). The second one is closely linked to the reform of higher
education and the adoption of system LMD (Licence, Master, Doctorat) so
as to modernize the system of university diplomas and to harmonize the
training in higher education with international standards and systems.
At the Higher Institute of Documentation, the only university
establishment in charge of training information professionals we face great
challenges in order to meet the objectives of these two events, and this
through the courses taught and the teaching methods adopted. A
commission on the level of the establishment was set up to carry out à
serious work on the reform of the programs and the exploitation of
information and communication technologies in the teaching practices
especially that our field, information science is in perpetual evolution and
largely influenced by the evolution of ICT. The first results of the work of
this commission recommend the adoption of open formats and free
software, as well as the development and the exploitation of technologies
turned towards collaborative work and remote teaching.
We will present in this paper the evolution of the introduction of the
teachings related to communication and information technologies at the Higher Institute of Documentation while mentioning the principal problems
financial, technical and human related to this type of teachings. Then, we
will present the new orientations dependent on the teaching of these
technologies and their use in the improvement of the teaching methods at
the Institute within the framework of the passage to the LMD system.
