N2 - The chapter aims to explore the Omani educational administration and leadership (EAL) literature and is, therefore, part of a larger array of studies responding to global calls from the field recommending scholars to undergo national reviews. The chapter employs systematic methods to review 132 articles published in both Arabic and English journals in the period 2000-2021. The researchers used quantitative analysis to identify salient features of the Omani EAL literature with reference to publication volume, authorship trends, types of research studies, topics, and research methods. The analysis revealed a number of interesting findings in more than one area which the researchers discuss in light of the global EAL literature. This critical analysis enabled the researchers to identify implications of the current trends in Omani EAL literature and suggest contextual recommendations that will help further develop and strengthen the knowledge base at the country level.
