ملخص
Plant leaves have been collected to study the deposition of air pollutants around Lakamanahalli area. More than two - fold increased deposition of trace elements, namely Cd, Pb, Ni, Zn, Cu, Mn and Fe are noticed in comparison with that of relatively non - polluted values and some of the plants (Ficus bangalensis and Mangifera indica) indicated more susceptibility for the studied elements and revealed high intensity of air borne pollution. The deposition of these elements mainly attributed to road dust, vehicular and industrial emissions. Further, the results of correlation coefficient and paired t - test show positive values as well as significant at 5% level. This is going to pose dangerous in the near future and immediate air quality monitoring is suggested in the area.
