ملخص
The present study illustrates corrosion behavior of Ni–TiO 2 composite coatings, electrodeposited on a tool steel A2 grade substrate. Titanium oxide nanoparticles were codeposited with Ni on the tool steel A2 grade substrate using a pulse electrodeposition method. The experiments were carried out using different combinations of the pulse parameter and response surface methodology. Experiments were conducted to study the effect of pulse parameter. The microstructure, hardness, corrosion behavior were studied by means of SEM, XRD, microhardness tester, and salt spray test methods. Evaluation of the coated surface indicates an improved microhardness value of about 10-20% of base material with enhanced corrosion resistance.
