ملخص

53 cases of choledocholithiasis evaluated by US revealed documented evidence of calculi in 34 patients giving an overall sensitivity of 64%. Factors that increase the individual accuracy of detection are the larger duct size, upper location of the calculi and technique of evaluation. The different degrees of accuracies obtained with each of the above factors is discussed.
