Understanding Role of Entrepreneurial bricolage in Circular Economy: An Empirical evidence from Hybrid Entrepreneurs in the Omani Context

Hybrid entrepreneurs are individuals who establish a business while doing another full time job. Such individuals are extremely self-motivated people and are often proven to be good for a country?s economy. Therefore, we aim to explore the unexplored by looking into entrepreneurial bricolage and circular economy in the hospitality context. Particularly, hospitality sector has been focused due to recent government?s attention towards hospitality and tourism. Not only The Sultanate of Oman but also countries in this region have recently started paying attention towards this sector as a mean to contribute in their GDP. The present study is quantitative in nature, therefore we aim to design a survey questionnaire and collect data from individuals who are ?hybrid entrepreneurs? to test our hypotheses. The practical implications of this research will be of greater significance for the government and policy makes in the hospitality sector. This is important because first, there is a very little empirical evidence available on what factors will enable researchers in the hospitality and tourism sector to contribute in the circular economy of Oman. Secondly, this will be amongst earliest studies in the Omani context exploring issues and challenges hybrid entrepreneurs face in contributing towards circular economy. To date, there seems a lack of empirical evidence on this side of business phenomenon in the Omani context. Lastly, we think that the theoretical implications of the present study will enable scholarly community to further research on this emerging topic. The following are important research questions that we aim to explore in this context. 1. How hybrid entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector of Oman utilize entrepreneurial bricolage to benefit circular economy? 2. How hybrid entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector of Oman utilized frugal innovation and absorptive capacity to benefit circular economy?
