Seismic Surveys at Port of Duqm Sabkha area

The EMC is to conduct geophysical surveys to quantitatively calculate the depth to bedrock and characterize the sediment material above it. There are three geophysical surveys suggested for such a task: seismic refraction, MASW, and Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) for ambient noise techniques. The seismic refraction and MASW surveys will be conducted on a line with location determined by PDC (3 km) and the HVSR will be conducted in a closely spaced interval (50m) in the same line
