Description
MS affects young population and in case of women it is during their childbearing age. It is reported that pregnant MS patients have more obstetric complications compare to non-MS patient. The aim of this retrospective cross-sectional study is to study the fertility rate, pregnancy and fetal outcomes of Omani MS women attending neurology clinic at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), Muscat, Oman. We hypothesized that pregnant women with MS are more prone to complications during delivery and the fetus are born with malformations or low birth weight (LBW) compared to non-MS women. Data will be extracted from the electronic patients records as well as from the governmental pregnancy and child health cards i.e. the green and the pink cards respectively.
