Description

The financial sustainability of publically traded state-owned enterprises is the ability to continue their operation, accomplish their goals and add value to both stockholders and stakeholders. Financial difficulties and lower oil prices restrict state-owned enterprise listed in Muscat Securities Market and other private institutions in Oman from balancing their budget and their ability to maintain a balance between a quality products and service, and maximization of shareholder?s wealth. Hence, the search is centered toward the best and critical business model for publically traded state-owned enterprises to sustain over a long period of time. This research paper uses financial ratio analysis and Monte-Carlo simulation technique to examine the issue of financial sustainability.
