Experimental Design for Active Learning

The study seeks to test various experimental designs so as to identify the best design suitable for active learning implementation in the statistics courses taught at the Department of Statistics, College of Science, Sultan Qaboos University. Among the various active learning techniques proposed by various scholars, no study has yet recommended any that could result into increased academic performance among statistics major students. The study will develop a framework based on experimental case control design to test evidence for active learning among statistics students at the Department of Statistics, Sultan Qaboos University. The proposed designs will be validated based on data derived from experimental case control of the introduction to probability course, which is one of the courses at the Department of Statistics.
