Developing a platform for producing e-portfolio in College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University and Measuring its Effect in Developing the Learning Skills and Achievement Motivation from the Perspective of Faculties and Students

The goal of this project is to create a platform for the producing e-portfolios in the teacher preparation programs based on international educational and technical standards that are aligned with the teaching and learning environment in the Sultanate of Oman. The platform will be implemented in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University, and its effectiveness in developing the learning skills and achievement motivation. The population of the study will consist of the faculties and students in the College of Education. The sample will be chosen following the random cluster method after coordinating with the concerned institutions. The descriptive analytical method and the developmental approach will be followed in throughout the study. For the purpose of data collection, two instruments will be in addition to the platform that will be created, questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Data of the study will be analyzed using SPSS. The research project will contribute to the establishment of a conceptual framework- based on international educational and technical standards - that helps enhance cooperation and partnerships between the different teacher education programs in The College of Education. The project will help spread awareness and implementation of the best practices in the use of the e-portfolio in higher education institutions, which will enable teacher candidates achieve the expected outcomes and meet both national and international standards of teacher preparation programs.
