Abstract

Correction to: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2024) The original article contains a spelling error. The “Al Nahdha Hospital” should be added in the Material and Methods and Results section. The corrections as follows: The second paragraph of the Material and Methods section should read: All patients who were planned for an orthognathic procedure for the management of DFD at the Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Al Nahdha Hospital, and Oman Dental College, over a period of 12 months, were invited to participate in this prospective cohort study. Informed consent was obtained from all subjects taking part in this study, and the participation of the recruited patients was on a voluntary basis. The first paragraph of the Results section should read: The characteristics and demographic data of 136 patients who underwent orthognathic surgery treatment at Al Nahdha Hospital and Oman Dental College over a period of 12 months are shown in Table 1. Lastly, the clinical trial registration number mentioned in the Declarations section appears incorrectly as “YYYY/YYY”. The correct registration number should be “SLCTR/2024/22”. The original article has been corrected.
